Colour Theory

So today in class, and for the last 2 weeks we've been studying 'Colour Theory'.

We were asked to colour 3 different images, using only and all of the primary colours, two Complimentary colours, and two Dissonant colours.

Then we were asked to play around with 'Monochromatic' colour on Illustrator.

Rule Of Thirds

The most common and effective composition principle used in design/art/photography. Using a grid of 3x3 to effectively compose an easy, well balanced, eye appealing image by keeping your target/main focus points in thirds, mainly the four corners where all the lines meet.



Based from a painting rule of thumb the 'Golden Mean' in the 1800's. The same principle was used here in scenic painting.
